Rosalie Glauser’s original idea of opening a small bakery quickly broadened into the Slow Down Food Company and Café. On Lee Lane, nestled behind Main Street, Slow Down is the place to go for local and regional foods. All meats, eggs, and seasonal vegetables & fruit come from within a 150 mile radius, mostly from farms within 50 miles. The café menu is eclectic and worldly, from the simplest "eggs any style with organic rosti potatoes and organic toast" to their famous Tunisian Breakfast or fluffy Ricotta Peach Pancakes. For lunch try homemade soups, sandwiches, panini and salads, followed by homemade mile-high fresh fruit pie and a cup of organic coffee. Catering services are available. |
